KDI officer in professional uniform

Careers

Work for a company that invests in the officer behind the uniform.

Clear direction. Responsive leadership. Equipment that fits. Training that continues after hiring.

Why KDI

Leadership that puts officers first.

Officers are not interchangeable names on a schedule. Take care of the people doing the work, give them the resources to succeed, and hold company leadership to the same standard.

Officers have a direct path to management for operational guidance, help during an incident, clarification of post orders, or support with an assignment concern.

Officer safety, lawful conduct, and proper preparation come before company convenience. KDI will not ask an officer to accept an avoidable risk because it is cheaper.

Uniforms and equipment

Officers should not spend long Florida shifts in poorly fitted uniforms or cheap gear. When KDI supplies uniforms or duty equipment, fit, comfort, durability, and appearance come first.

Accountability both ways

Attendance, judgment, communication, and accurate reporting are expected. In return, KDI owes clear post orders, useful training, dependable communication, and reasonable operational support.

Continuing firearms training

Training that continues

Prepared officers stay effective.

Orientation is the start. Recurring training, operational refreshers, supervisor coaching, post-order reviews, and scenario work continue after hiring. Armed personnel receive ongoing firearms development: safe handling, accuracy, judgment, and confidence with authorized equipment.

Situational awareness
Recognizing unusual activity early
De-escalation
Difficult interactions with restraint
Patrol and access
Applying post orders consistently
Reporting
Accurate DARs and complete incident records
